Capacity Building Program
on Mental Health & Wellness at St. Mary’s School, Kasauli
On
23rd August, St. Mary’s School, Kasauli, proudly hosted a Capacity Building
Program on Promoting Mental Health and Wellness among Students, an initiative
aimed at equipping teachers and learners with tools to nurture emotional
resilience and overall well-being.
The
programme commenced with the Lamp Lightening Ceremony, graced by Sr. Tesvin SD
(Principal), Sr. Delphy (Vice Principal), Resource Persons Mr. Ravi Sharma and Mr Vijay Verma, along
with Venue Director Dr. Naveen Kumar. This symbolic gesture set the tone for a
day dedicated to enlightenment and growth.
The
heart of the program was the insightful session conducted by the two
distinguished resource persons:
Mr
Ravi Sharma – With 26 years of teaching experience, a passionate educator from
Army Public School, Dagshai, is a powerhouse of knowledge and inspiration. A
master trainer in life skills, classroom management, stress management, and
more, he kept everyone engaged with his practical insights. Beyond the
classroom, he is a quiz master, traveler, photographer, and sports enthusiast –
proving that learning is a lifelong adventure.
Mr.
Vijay Verma – A visionary Principal and CBSE Resource Person, he brought with
him decades of leadership and a deep belief in holistic education. Known for
mentoring IIT-JEE and NEET aspirants, he blends academic excellence with life
lessons, reminding everyone that true education is about both the mind and the
heart. His words inspired teachers to see themselves not just as educators, but
as torchbearers of wellness and growth.
The
session was not just lectures but a lively exchange of ideas, stories, and
strategies on handling stress, staying motivated, and creating a positive learning
environment. Participants were encouraged to reflect, share, and learn about
stress management, positive thinking, and the importance of mental well-being
in education. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, collaboration, and
purposeful learning. Teachers left the hall not with mere notes, but with new
energy, fresh perspectives, and cheerful smiles.
The
